Scorpion Releasing resurrects LEONOR (review)

Michel Piccoli, Liv Ullmann, and Ornella Muti star in Juan Luis Bunuel's take on the gothic horror romance.  When his wife Leonor is killed in a riding accident, aristocrat Richard forgoes mourning and quickly remarries younger Catherine.  Ten years later, his grief has caught up with him in the form of Leonor's apparition, causing him to enter into a diabolical deal to bring her back... only she is not the same as she was before.
