In this French/Belgium piece of magic realism, twenty-five year old Tom must choose the love of his life based on her voice alone.  Given a month to then find the woman he has picked, he constructs a mental image of her and names her Jeanne.  When he is unable to find her, she is presented to him in the form of Lea, but he insists that she is not the girl he picked.  After embarrassing his family, Tom tries to settle in with Lea but remains haunted by Jeanne every time he closes his eyes and sets out to find this impossible love.

Cinema Libre is WET BEHIND THE EARS (review)

Fresh out of college, Samantha dreams of living in the big city with her best friend Vicky.  Putting all of her eggs into one basket, she interviews at an advertising firm belonging to a vague acquaintance of her father.  When she doesn't get the job because of her inexperience, she is forced to move back home and take a job in a friend's ice cream shop.  Mortified by having to serve her catty old school friends, she strikes up a friendship with a kid who was unpopular but is now an aspiring (read: unemployed) filmmaker.  Together they hit upon a shady scheme to solve their problems.
