Intervision gets pulverzied by MASKED MUTILATOR (review)

A group home for troubled youths run by an ex-wrestler who killed an opponent in the ring is suddenly beset by a series of brutal murders.  Shot in 1994 but unfinished until 2018.

When an ex-con convinces his girlfriend to help him rob her boss' castle of a legendary treasure, they find themselves having to solve a series of puzzles to escape from six room rigged with death traps in order to find out what lies beyond the seventh door in this Canadian eighties obscurity.

Intervision has a MURDERLUST for PROJECT NIGHTMARE (Review)

In this double bill from filmmakers Don Jones and James C. Lane, MURDERLUST anticipates the gritty serial killer films along the lines of HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER as it details the dead-end life of the Mojave Murderer: respectable Sunday School Teacher by day and prostitute strangler by night.  In PROJECT NIGHTMARE, two campers find themselves on the run from an alien force in the middle of the woods.

Intervision reaps a DARK HARVEST with ESCAPES (review)

Intervision brings another shot-on-video double bill back from the rental store grave to DVD.  In DARK HARVEST, a group of campers get stranded in a desert and stumble across an ancient burial ground guarded by killer scarecrows.  In ESCAPES, Vincent Price hosts six weird tales of monsters and retribution.

Bruno Mattei is back in this pair of individual DVD releases from Intervision.  A group of boneheaded treasure hunters land on the ISLAND OF THE LIVING DEAD and face off against ghosts, zombie monks, and flesh-eating corpses.  In ZOMBIES: THE BEGINNING, a rescue team is dispatched to an island where experiments with zombie test subjects have gone horribly wrong  Wholesale rip-offs of Fulci, Romero, and even Mattei himself along with James Cameron's ALIENS and John Carpenter's THE FOG and stock footage galore abound in two of Mattei's final films.

Intervision Picture Corp. goes MONDO IN THE LAND OF THE CANNIBALS (review)

In this back-to-back CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST rip-off duo from the late, great Bruno Mattei, a team of sensationalist news reporters head to the Amazon in search of cannibal tribes.  When they can't find news, they make it, angering the vengeful tribes that lurk in the jungle of MONDO CANNIBAL.  A rescue squad of soldiers of fortune parachute into the jungle in search of a senator's missing daughter IN THE LAND OF THE CANNIBALS.

Intervision Courts Controversy: JEFFREY DAHMER - THE SECRET LIFE (review)

Out today, Intervision's DVD of the 1993 film THE SECRET LIFE: JEFFREY DAHMER. Carl Crew (URBAN LEGENDS), who also scripted, stars as the infamous serial killer in the controversial first film after the killer's arrest (and before his death).  Publicly reviled and critically lauded, the film is reportedly truer to the material than the higher-budget 2002 film.
