Jinga Films digs up the ANDREW PARKINSON TRILOGY (review)

Only available separately but billed as "The Andrew Parkinson Trilogy", Jinga Films presents the three feature works of this underrated British independent filmmaker.  In I, ZOMBIE, a young man becomes a zombie when he is bitten by an infected stranger.  Repulsed by his own existence, he goes into hiding and lures victims into his rundown flat to feed upon.  In DEAD CREATURES, a group of women feed upon the flesh of Londoners, but a new addition to the group may put them in the path of a brutal zombie hunter.  In VENUS DROWNING, a woman mourning for her fiance and baby finds a strange creature on the beach and forms an addictive pseudo-parental/sexual relationship with it until it starts feeding upon her lovers.

Jinga Films hears a SILENT CRY (review)

When single mother Rachel wakes up in the hospital to learn that her newborn baby has suddenly died during the night, she starts to suspect that someone has actually stolen her child.  It quickly turns out that she may be onto something as she finds herself being pursued by a relentless stalker and she can't call the police because he's one of them!  The only person she can rely on is the hospital's janitor who also finds himself framed and on the run when he helps her find the identity of a woman who might have her child.  This tense British thriller stars Emily Woof (PHOTOGRAPHING FAIRIES), Douglas Henshall (ANGELS & INSECTS), Frank Finlay (CASANOVA), Kevin Whately (TV's INSPECTOR MORSE and INSPECTOR LEWIS), and Clive Russell (OSCAR AND LUCINDA).  Directed by Julian Richards (DARKLANDS).

Jinga Films unleashes the SIMON RUMLEY TRILOGY (review)

British director Simon Rumley may be best known stateside for THE LIVING AND THE DEAD, RED, WHITE, AND BLUE and his entry in THE ABCS OF DEATH, but now Jinga Films brings his revolutionary first three films to DVD.  In STRONG LANGUAGE, sixteen young Londoners talk about everything from the club scene to Ecstasy to racism and AIDs while a narrator recounts a night of horror that changed his life forever.  THE TRUTH GAME is a comedy of bad manners in which an elegant dinner party quickly goes downhill with a series of revealed secrets, paranoia, inappropriate jokes, and bad behavior (and that's before they play "the truth fame").  Finally, in CLUB LE MONDE offers up a funny slice of life in a night of London's club scene.
