This biopic of the first female winner of the Nobel Prize (twice) examines her struggles in the aftermath of her husband's death to continue pursuing the use of radium in treating cancer, dealing with the sexism of her colleagues at the Sorbonne and the Academy of Scienes, and the scandalous love affair that threatened her reputation purely based on her gender.
