When the two witnesses scheduled to testify against a New York crime kingpin are brutally murdered, the district attorney hires ex-cop Jessie Crowder to transport the only other witness across the country. Their journey is fraught with danger at every turn, with hitmen seemingly one step head of the duo no matter how many times they change plans.
