Camila comes to New York from Argentina to work on a Spanish translation of Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM but finds her work frustrated by loneliness and purposelessness. Searching for distraction, she finds herself resisting stepping into the roles vacated by Carmen, the girl who had the fellowship before her and has traded residences with her, including the attentions of the other woman's former lover and the issues with closeness and connecting with other people brought up by her own estrangement for her father.
