"In this unholy sanctuary, you haven't got a prayer," in the Dario Argento-produced THE CHURCH from director Michele Soavi.  A gothic church is erected over the sight of the mass slaughter of a medieval village suspected of demonic possession.  In the modern day, an ancient failsafe device traps several unsuspecting victims inside the church as the evil is unleashed.
