Film Movement and LA FAMILIA (review)

When twelve-year-old Pedro is not in school, he is rough-housing with his wannabe gangster pals.  When another kid tries to rob him and his friend of their phones, a fight ensues and the other kid is accidentally killed.  Fearing retaliation, his hard-working father Andres packs them up and they go on the run, but Pedro sees only cowardice in his father's actions but he will soon be forced to grow up quickly.
