Sony Pictures Classics pays a visit to GRANDMA (review)

Lily Tomlin, Sam Elliott, Marcia Gay Harden, Judy Greer, Laverne Cox, Elizabeth Pena, and Julia Garner star in Paul Weitz's family drama.  No sooner has burnt-out poet Elle breaks it off with her younger girlfriend than her estranged granddaughter turns up in need of money for an abortion.  Flat broke and unwilling to seek help from her daughter, Elle drags her granddaughter around town shaking down friends and old flames and dredging up drama and opening up old wounds.
