Director Claude Miller worked in a variety of genres including two back-to-back crime films.  Lino Ventura is THE INQUISITOR who hopes to catch up attorney Michel Serrault in his own web of lies while investing a series of child murders.  Serrault and Isabelle Adjani are entangled in a DEADLY CIRCUIT as private detective and beautiful young woman who leaves a trail of dead bodies behind her as she crosses Europe.
