88 Films sheds no tears for SUNSET WARRIORS (review)

Chinese mercenaries in The Golden Triangle are tasked with destroying the drug running operation of a local general but run afoul of his men and a vengeful Vietnamese colonel in John Woo's first stab at gritty modern action filmmaking SUNSET WARRIORS which Golden Harvest recut and reshot with more sex, violence, and comedy into HEROES SHED NO TEARS.  This release features John Woo's superior original cut which was released in South Korea in 1984 as well as the Hong Kong theatrical cut and English export cut released in 1986.
