Arrow Video suffers THE TENDERNESS OF THE WOLVES (review)

Before THE BOOGEYMAN and THE DEVONSVILLE TERROR, Ulli Lommel honed his horror skills in Germany with this arty take on the murders of Fritz Haarmann, the country's first serial killer.  Working with writer/star Kurt Raab and mentor Rainer Werner Fassbinder's stable of talented actors and crew, Lommel presents a vivid and intimate portrait of a murderer and the situations in post-war Germany that enabled him to seduce and murder as many as forty young men.
