Tsui Hark returns with this epic tale in which a small unit of the People's Liberation Army takes on the thousand strong army of bandit Lord Hawk who has been raising the villages of Northeastern China after the Japanese surrender of World War II. The only way to overcome these odds is to infiltrate Lord Hawk's fortress on Tiger Mountain posing as a bandit to destroy it from within.
