Banned in the UK for more than twenty years on charges of blasphemy (the UK's blasphemy laws were not abolished until 2008), the short VISIONS OF ECSTASY - an erotic take on the religious ecstasy of St. Teresa - headlines this collection of Redemption Films' founder Nigel Wingrove. The collection also includes his first short film AXEL, the poetic FAUSTINE, and his first feature SACRED FLESH in which the mother superior of a convent is bedeviled by the lusts of her sister confessors and the apparition of Mary Magdalene.
