Mid-Autumn is a high school dropout working as a debt collector for a gangster when he becomes involved with a mentally-handicapped friend and a sick girl on a quest involving letters left behind by a girl who committed suicide in Fruit Chan's third directorial effort and first independent film that put him on the map as a talented filmmaker.
