MVD Visual slashes open THE VIOLENCE MOVIE (review)

In 1988, budding filmmaker Eric D. Wilkinson, his brother, and friends decided to put their love of slasher films on video with the VHS short film THE VIOLENCE MOVIE, a homage to everything from FRIDAY THE 13TH and A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET to LETHAL WEAPON and DIE HARD.  In 2003, they shot new footage for a fifteenth anniversary special edition.  Now on the thirtieth anniversary, THE VIOLENCE MOVIE comes to DVD in a special edition with its sequel, deleted and extended scenes, original credits sequences, behind the scenes video, audio commentary, and footage from the scrapped first shoot (also with commentary).
