In French-occupied Vietnam, Linh travels from her village to the Sa-Cat looking for a job. Hired as a housemaid, she learns of the plantation's haunted past including the ghosts of tortured workers and the wife of her French employer who went mad and committed suicide. As Linh gets closer to her employer, it appears as if vengeful ghost is targeting her and anyone else who comes between her and her husband.
