The INSPECTOR GEORGE GENTLY series comes to a close with two final cases set in the socially turbulent 1970's. In the first, Gently and Bacchus butt heads when the discovery of a body means revisiting a case Bacchus worked on years before in which the killer may have been wrongfully convicted. In the second and last, Gently investigates the cold-case of a murdered scab worker while Bacchus and Coles investigate the more recent murder of a scab worker during a labor and union dispute, both of which are linked by a politician who could very well be running the new government.
