Cult Epics appreciates SEX MURDER ART: THE FILMS OF JORG BUTTGEREIT (review)

Cult Epics combines the major features and shorts of outrageous German cult director Jorg Buttgereit together in one four Blu-ray/two CD set.  In NEKROMANTIK, a forensic janitor brings home the ideal partner for a threesome with his girlfriend, only this one's dead and rotting.  In DER TODESKING, Buttgereit presents an essay on suicide with seven vignettes taking place over the course of a week.  In NEKROMANTIK 2, a female necrophiliac is torn between a tender relationship with a living man and the caresses of a dead mate.  In SCHRAMM, taxi driver turned serial killer Lother's mind comes unraveled in a series of surrealistic and nightmarish hallucinations and real bloodbaths.  Also included are several short films, commentaries on all four films, making-of featurettes (including the underground outrage CORPSE FUCKING ART), and the full soundtracks on CD along with the full scores and additional cues as Blu-ray extras.

Vinegar Syndrome busts out DOLEMITE (review)

Vinegar Syndrome restores Rudy Ray Moore's iconic Blaxploitation film DOLEMITE for Blu-ray/DVD combo release.  Framed by the cops and sentenced to hard time, pimp Dolemite is sprung by his partner Queen Bee and the prison warden to discover who is behind the crime wave afflicting his old neighborhood.  No sooner is he out of prison than the cops and the henchmen of competing pimp Willie Green are trying to kill him.  Dolemite, however, is more than ready with his army of Kung-Fu fighting prostitutes to help him take back what's his.

Film Movement Classics traces ANTONIA'S LINE (review)

Omnibus Entertainment reels in a SUCKER (review)

YouTube sensation John Luc and British character actor Timothy Spall star in this Australian comic thriller about an Asian-Australian teenager whose dreams of medical school are dashed when he is caught cheating on college entrance exams.  Taking up with a "professional liar" and his magnetic daughter, he learns the tricks of the trade as they gear up towards the con of the century.

After meeting at a party, Parisians Thedore and Anna hop the fence of a local historical park for a one night stand.  They continue this series of rendez-vous nightly, making secret discoveries about the park's buildings and other nightly inhabitants.  As they strive for normality in their relationship, they discover that they are drawn back to the park by mysterious forces.

In this Peruvian example of the found footage genre, documentary film college students decide to make a documentary about reaction videos.  After viewing a particularly intense one, they discover that the people in it are all dead.  Tracing the film they watched to an old cemetery, they begin to believe that whatever killed the others is now stalking them.
