When war photographer Rebecca Thomas is injured documenting the ritual of a female suicide bomber, her husband gives her an ultimatum: stop covering war zones or lose her family. When she agrees to cover a refugee camp in a no-conflict zone that is supposed to be safe enough to bring her teenage daughter along, she may be risking more than her own life.
