Palestinian student Nimr meets Israeli lawyer Roy in a Tel Aviv nightclub. Nimr is reluctant to start a relationship because of their cultural differences as well as his own academic aspirations to get out of the war-torn area. When a gay friend staying illegally in Tel Aviv is sent back to his village on the other side of the border and murdered, Nimr finds himself caught between his own culture's rejection of his sexual identity and his lover's rejection of his nationality. When his border-crossing permit is cancelled by Israeli security over suspicions involving his brother's shady activities, Nimr soon finds his life threatened by both sides as well.
