Wild Eye Releasing enrolls in MURDER UNIVERSITY (review)

In this throwback to the eighties slashers, young Josh enrolls in Greensboro College and immediately fails to fit in.  His teachers hate him, his classmates hate him, and he witnesses a devil-masked killer murder three of his classmates.  Barely surviving the ordeal, he teams up with a detective and the man's daughter to catch the killer nicknamed "The Greensboro Devil" on the campus of "Murder U" where the tuition is killer and the alumni is six feet under.

BFI wakes in the DEAD OF NIGHT (review)

Eager to get away from rainy, dreary Paris, Marie-France (Alice Arno) takes a position as a nurse to the paralyzed daughter of eccentric author Radeck (Paul Muller) who lives abroad in a Greek villa with his nymphomaniacal niece Olivia (Lina Romay) and mute servant (Pierre Taylou).  All are hot-to-trot but they are also guarding a devastating family secret, and Marie-France soon finds that THE HOT NIGHTS OF LINDA are full of sex and death.  Also known as BUT WHO RAPED LINDA and THE BRUTAL NIGHTS OF LINDA.

Scream Factory takes in an ALL NIGHT HORROR MARATHON (review)

Take in a quartet of horror obscurities from the MGM vaults courtesy of Scream Factory.  In WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH HELEN?, Debbie Reynold and Shelly Winters flee New York for Hollywood after their sons are convicted of a grisly murder.  Soon they begin receiving threatening notes and phone calls, but it it all in Helen's mind?  In THE VAGRANT, Bill Paxton plays a young yuppie who buys his dream house only to be tormented by a psychotic vagrant no one else believes exists.  In THE GODSEND, a mysterious woman gives birth and leaves her child behind with an English family.  When their own children begin to die mysteriously, they start to wonder if sweet Bonnie is such a blessing.  In THE OUTING, six teenagers (and two uninvited rape-happy classmates) spend the night in a museum with a magic lamp housing a malevolent djinn that thinks up gory ways to torment and kill his victims.

Vinegar Syndrome's VIRGIN AND THE LOVER have LUSTFUL FEELINGS (review)

Golden age porn stars Jamie Gillis, Eric Edwards, Jennifer Welles, Terri Hall, Darby Lloyd Rains, and Richard Bolla star in this fleshy double bill of oddball films from Kemal Horulu.  In VIRGIN AND THE LOVER, Edwards has a bizarre fetish that no living woman can satisfy except possibly his psychiatrist's secretary.  In LUSTFUL FEELINGS, Gillis is a small-time cocaine dealer in debt with the mob.  When he puts his girlfriend to work as a nude model, he has no idea what her clients really demand of her.

Jinga Films hears a SILENT CRY (review)

Second Sight reveals THE PARANORMAL DIARIES: CLOPHILL (review)

In 1963, the ruin of St. Mary's Church in the village of Clophill was desecrated by devil worshipers.  Since then, the ruin has been host to paranormal activity with eerily consistent eye witness accounts from locals, hikers, and the many ghost seekers who visit the site at night.  When a film crew mount a three night investigation of the site, they experience for themselves the mystery of St. Mary's.

Olive Films enters the devil's doorway in WITCHBOARD 2 (review)

The board is back in WITCHBOARD 2: THE DEVIL'S DOORWAY.  Struggling artist Paige (Ami Dolenz, PUMPKINHEAD 2: BLOOD WINGS) moves into a spacious, fully-furnished loft and discovers that the previous tenant is still around in spirit form communicating with her through a left behind Ouija board.  The spirit is at first helpful to her but becomes more ominous, and anyone who tries to interfere is subject to strange and grizzly freak accidents as the spirit or demon seeks to possess Paige.  Timothy Gibbs (THE KINDRED), John Gatins (LEPRECHAUN 3), and SNL's Laraine Newman star.  Directed by Kevin S. Where life is cheap: Blue Underground's SNUFF (review)

One of the cinematic great outrages of the seventies, SNUFF comes to special edition Blu-ray courtesy of Blue Underground.  An actress and her wealthy friends run are in the crosshairs of a hippie guru and his murderous gang of girl bikers.  Infamous roughie filmmakers Michael and Roberta Findlay shot this Manson murders cash-in in Argentina in 1970 but were unable to find a distributor until Monarch Releasing's Allan Schackleton bought the film in 1975 and added a "snuff movie" sequence and turned it into his highest-grossing pic ever SNUFF which outraged critics and feminists alike (some of which were convinced that "the bloodiest thing that ever happened in front of a camera" was real.  Judge for yourself!

Code Red makes a pact with the DEVIL'S THREE (review)

Code Red Releasing dances with THE FACE WITH 2 LEFT FEET (review)

When is John Travolta not John Travolta?  When it's Italy's number one John Travolta impersonator.  Johnny Spezia plays a lowly hotel cook who falls for a sexy disco DJ (actress/singer-turned-pornstar-turned-politician Ilona Staller aka Cicciolina).  When his buddies discover his striking resemblance to John Travolta, they hatch a scheme for him to win his lady love.  The only problem is: he can't dance... oh, and the real John Travolta has made reservations at the hotel, requiring much comic maneuvering to keep the two apart.  Angelo Infanti (THE GODFATHER) also stars.

Believe Limited visits TURTLE HILL, BROOKLYN (review)

Will's thirtieth birthday celebration starts off with a bang when his boyfriend Mateo learns that his family doesn't know he's gay and his conservative sister gets the shock of her life when she drops in unannounced.  As the evening progresses, it turns out that Will isn't the only one in the relationship and among his horde of birthday guests that are keeping secrets and lies that are bound to come out by the end of the night.
