Annie returns home for her abusive mother's funeral only to discover that her sister Nichole is missing, leaving her young daughter behind with a friend Liz. When Annie discovers her sister's laptop and phone in her mother's house, she starts to suspect that her sister hasn't just flaked out and taken off for a few days. When Liz spends the night at the house and also disappears, Annie realizes that there's something more lurking in the house than traumatic childhood memories.
