Vinegar Syndrome celebrates the empire of CRUEL BRITANNIA with THREE KILLER THRILLERS FROM THE U.K. (review)

British horror in the seventies took a turn towards more realistic, nasty, and sometimes sleazier thrillers.  In CRAZE, Jack Palance plays an antiques dealer who comes to believe that offering blood sacrifices to an African idol will bring him good fortune.  In PENNY GOLD, a woman is brutally murdered but the real target might have been her twin sister, one of whom knows the whereabouts of a priceless collectible stamp.  In CRUCIBLE OF TERROR, an art dealer and his model wife try to make a deal to sell the art pieces of a reclusive sculptor whose last muse wound up encased in molten bronze.
