Arrow Films goes on a HONEYMOON (review)

COCKNEYS VS. ZOMBIES' Harry Treadaway and GAME OF THRONES' Rose Leslie star in this intriguing and creepy feature about a New York couple who go north to a Canadian cabin for their honeymoon.  The husband encounters strange phenomena including his wife's sudden habit of sleepwaking.  As she grows more distant from him, he begins to believe that she is literally a completely different person or thing.

Canteen Outlaws presents TWO MOTHERS (review)

In this despairing German drama, lesbian couple Katja and Isabella decide the time is right to have a child.  Deciding to give birth via a sperm donation, they encounter bureaucratic obstruction, sketchy donors, suspicious doctors, and the disappointment of several unsuccessful inseminations.  As the challenges take an emotional and financial toll on the couple, their may be nothing left of their relationship if/when they succeed.

Vinegar Syndrome reaches SEXUAL HEIGHTS for UNDULATIONS (review)

In this latest double billing of Carlos Tobalina flicks starring John Holmes and Jamie Gillis.  In SEXUAL HEIGHTS, four divorced guys decide to get "revenge" on the babysitting tease who cost one of the guys his marriage with an elaborate hoax including a baby doll toy and two of them in drag.  In UNDULATIONS, Gillis and Holmes are interviewed on a sexually-explicit television show about their views on pornography and various sexual issues which give way to a number of hardcore vignettes before the panel turns into an all-out orgy.

Vinegar Syndrome picks THREE RIPENING CHERRIES for SENSUAL FIRE (review)

Vinegar Syndrome delves deep into their bottomless vaults for two more Carlos Tobalina flicks, this time showcasing the talents of Dorothy LeMay.  In THREE RIPENING CHERRIES, a trio of high school nymphets try to decide which of their classmates or teachers will be their first time (in the meantime, they always have each other... and a vibrator).  In SENSUAL FIRE, Jamie Gillis plays a wealthy man who gives up bachelorhood when he meets a hot widow.  Things are great until her horny teenage daughter comes home from school and he becomes obsessed with her.

Scream Factory witnesses a SUPERNOVA (review)

James Spader, Angela Bassett, Robert Forster, Lou Diamond Phillips, and Peter Facinelli star in this troubled Hollywood production started by Walter Hill, re-edited by Jack Sholder, with reshoots by Francis Ford Coppola about an emergency medical rescue ship summoned to the far end of the galaxy to answer a distress call from an abandoned mining ship in the debris field of a rogue moon.

Breaking Glass Pictures visits THE DARK PLACE (review)

When Keegan Dark and his boyfriend Wil visit his estranged mother at The Dark Vineyards, Keegan is shocked to discover that his mother has remarried and is reinventing the family business.  As he starts to feel like a stranger in his own home, Keegan - who is gifted or cursed with the ability to recall every moment of his life in videographic detail - starts to suspect that his stepfather and stepbrother (who is unnaturally close to his mother) are up to no good, but his own impulsive and erratic behavior makes him suspect when his mother falls into a coma and his boyfriend mysteriously disappears.

In two of the last adult films to receive theatrical release, Hyapatia Lee showcases her considerable talents.  In THE RIBALD TALES OF CANTERBURY, pilgrims traveling to Canterbury bet on who can tell the most erotic story.  Sharon Kelly co-stars.  In TASTY, DJ Tasty Tastums and her horny crew realize that the sounds of sex are the only way to raise the ratings to keep their station from closing.

Film Movement presents SALVO (review)

In the Cannes hit SALVO, a Palermo body guard kills the man who set up a botched hit on his boss but strangely spares the man's blind sister.  Keeping her hidden in an abandoned factory as her vision starts to return, neither she nor Salvo himself can understand what he really wants of her or why he will face off against his own boss to keep her.

Film Movement ventues into THE DARK VALLEY (review)

Sam Riley (CONTROL) stars in this Austrian/German western - Austria's submission for the 2014 Academy Awards - about an American stranger who comes to a remote Alpine village claiming to be a photographer.  The town patriarch - who enforces his rules over the townspeople with the brute force of his six sons - allows him to stay.  When the man's sons start meeting deaths in strange accidents, the stranger disappears.  As they hunt him down, they start to realize that he is not hiding but playing a deadly game of hide and seek with them.
