Icarus Films remasters EIGHT FILMS BY JEAN ROUCH (Review)

Newly restored from 2K scans of the16mm film elements, Icarus Films presents eight ethnographic films from the first twenty years of Jean Rouch's fifty-five years as a filmmaker, from the observational MAMMY WATER and THE LION HUNTERS to the experimental THE MAD MASTERS, JAGUAR, I A NEGRO, and THE HUMAN PYRAMID, and the reverse ethnographies of LITTLE BY LITTLE and THE PUNISHMENT.
