When his parents get divorced, Billy (A CHRISTMAS STORY's Peter Billingsley) reluctantly accompanies his mother (Catherine Hicks, CHILD'S PLAY) on a vacation to Arizona to see her high school sweetheart (Paul Le Mat, PUPPET MASTER).  Exploring an abandoned silver mine, Billy discovers a trailer that happens to be the latest crime scene of a local psychopathic killer who has been mutilating tourists over the last few years.  When Billy swipes a crucial clue, he and his family are soon being stalked through the desert by the killer.  Stephen McHattie (PONTYPOOL), Wilford Brimley (THE THING), and Edward Herrmann (THE LOST BOYS) also star.

Impulse Pictures files SCHOOLGIRL REPORT #9: MATURE BEFORE GRADUATION (review)

The girls of Walter Boos' SCHOOLGIRL REPORT 9 are "mature before graduation".  Eighteen year old Petra is already a gay divorcee before finals, and she and her ex are celebrating their divorce at an orgy!  Tessy is ashamed that she's the only virgin in her class, but nice guy Paul wants to protect her reputation (in a way that would have any modern woman shouting "date rape").  Katja and her boyfriend are not looking forward to an anniversary dinner with her parents, but they've been boning up on teenage vocabulary, miniskirts, and rock music.  They're all guests at Albert's weekend orgy and are in for a bang-up climax!

BFI tells GHOST STORIES FOR CHRISTMAS (review)

In one five-disc set, the British Film Institute brings together all nine of the original "Ghost Story for Christmas" adaptations from M.R. James, Charles Dickens, and the two original stories, as well as the 2005 and 2006 revivals, and the 2010 retelling of WHISTLE AND I'LL COME TO YOU.  Creepiness abounds in old houses, seaside inns, old abbies, dark train tunnels, even in a bright and beautiful resort or a restored and modernized country cottage.  Denholm Elliot (INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE), Peter Bowles (TO THE MANOR BORN), Robert Hardy (ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL), Clive Swift (KEEPING UP APPEARANCES), Michael Horden (LABYRINTH), and John Hurt (1984) are among the many familiar faces from British film and television to be found in this creepy set.

Scorpion Releasing sacrifices GEORGIA GEORGIA (review)

Diana Sands (A RAISIN IN THE SUN) plays Georgia Martin, the most popular American singer in Europe, and she has no plans to return to the states anytime soon.  Her companion Abigail (Minnie Gentry, THE BROTHER FROM ANOTHER PLANET) tries to keep her grounded in her heritage - including trying to get her to help the cause of a group of African American Vietnam War defectors in Stockholm - while her agent Herbert treats her like a queen far above the "little people" (black or white).  When she falls for a white American photojournalist (THE A TEAM's Dirk Benedict), she becomes targeted for betraying her race in this rare Maya Angelou-scripted drama from the producers of GANJA AND HESS/BLOOD COUPLE.  Diana Kjaer (FANNY HILL) also stars.
