Shout Factory's FIGHTING MAD/MOVING VIOLATION (reviewed)

I've reviewed Shout Factory's ACTION-PACKED DOUBLE FEATURE of FIGHTING MAD/MOVING VIOLATION for DVD Drive-In (review HERE).

In Jonathan CAGED HEAT Demme's FIGHTING MAD, Peter Fonda plays a farmer who goes to war with corrupt land developers.  Lynn Lowry (SHIVERS) and Scott Glenn (SILENCE OF THE LAMBS) co-star.  In Charles S. Dubin's MOVING VIOLATION, drifter Eddie (Stephen McHattie, PONTYPOOL) and waitress Cam (Kay Lenz, BREEZY) witness a murder and are set up by the local sheriff (Lonny Chapman, THE REIVERS).  Previously available on DVD in unauthorized, inferior PD DVD editions, Shout Factory has brought both these Roger Corman features to DVD in new transfers with new extras!

FIGHTING MAD/MOVING VIOLATION DVD specs:
  • 16:9 anamorphic 1.78:1 widescreen transfers for both films
  • English Dolby Digital 2.0 mono audio on both films
  • Audio Commentary on FIGHTING MAD with producer Roger Corman, director Jonathan Demme, and actors Peter Fonda and Lynn Lowry
  • Audio Commentary on MOVING VIOLATION with director Charles S. Dublin, producer Julie Corman, and actor Stephen McHattie*
  • Theatrical Trailers and TV spots for both films
*Roger Corman is listed as a participant in the MOVING VIOLATION commentary, but the covers were printed before the track was recorded.
